Moza Banco donates IT equipment to the Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Action

On Tuesday, 17th of August, Moza Banco, through the Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Action, delivered several items of IT equipment to 22 social units (state and private) that provide social assistance to children in need, elderly people, young people removed from the streets and to disadvantaged populations. The donated material will benefit around 800 users in all of the country's provinces.

The donation consists of 226 items of miscellaneous equipment comprising 76 desktop computers, monitors, servers, routers, 50 printers and 100 keyboards. Moza’s intervention falls within the scope of its social responsibility policy and is part of the efforts that the bank has been undertaking to minimize the suffering of the people that need it most.

Speaking moments after receiving the equipment, Chico Almajane, Director of Planning and Cooperation at the Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Action, said that “having this material will bring added value because it will contribute to the improvement of the services provided to vulnerable people”.

Meanwhile, the Director at Moza Banco, Manuel Guimarães, highlighted the following “With this action that we have just witnessed, we have been able to reach various entities and help them in their missions of supporting the communities, giving new life to materials that had remained unused at Moza Banco, but which can be of great use to others. This in fact is a way of combating waste and promoting reuse, fully in line with our sustainability policies as a Mozambican bank that is always ready to help other Mozambicans”.

“Moza Banco is a bank that shows its concern to support, whenever it can, particularly in times of crisis such as these", Manuel Guimarães said.
