FERNANDO LEITE COUTO FOUNDATION

The Fernando Leite Couto Foundation (FFLC) is a Mozambican cultural institution, created in 2015 with the mission to contribute to the development of Arts and Culture as a recognized and valued economic sector in the construction of a better Mozambique.

Since its genesis, FFLC has stood out as a benchmark cultural institution in the country, thanks to the quality of cultural programming, the contribution to various artistic areas, the professionalism in the organization of the activities carried out, the transparency and rigor in accountability and the outreach to an increasingly wide audience.

For this reason, Moza has recognised FFLC an important partner for artistic and cultural development in the country. It is within this vision that the Bank has, since 2019, collaborated with the Foundation, supporting the implementation of various initiatives that this entity has conceived and developed in the field of art and literature, with particular emphasis on the publication of works by Mozambican writers, promotion of lectures and conversations on various topics.

For this year, within the scope of this partnership, a broad and comprehensive cultural programme is planned that includes the Fernando Leite Couto Literary Prize, creative writing workshops, literary events (literary soirées, poetry recitals, lectures, debates and conversations) and the publication of literary works.
